Restore and Colorize
For a photography class assignment, I was instructed to restore this old photograph. Colorizing was optional, but sounded fun. We weren't told what colors to use and to just guess.

Design Principles/Elements: Enhance and Touch Up
I took the original photo when I was almost 17 years old, with my Girl Scout Troop on a trip to Victoria, BC, Canada. More recently, in February 2024, I edited it on Photoshop for a project in a class called Graphic Design Exploration. The assignment was to either find or take a photo of nature demonstrating at least one graphic design "principle" and at least one "element" from two separate lists of vocabulary words, and explain the principle(s) and element(s) on a class discussion forum. The professor encouraged students to use Adobe software when possible to gain experience, including editing and enhancing photos.
"Contrast can be seen in several design principles between stairs and the greenery. The colors and textures are very different. The texture varies within the greenery, with the moss, grass, leaves, rocks, and waterfall, and the colors are multiple shades of green. This is all in contrast against the gray concrete stairs and brown wooden handrails."
